Elemental Ankhs

I began with the goal of making the red ankh look like it's pulsing with energy and appearing in a big flash of brilliance.
It wasn't long before I got inspired to do a 'peaceful' ankh, inspiration achieved by inverting (using the "control+I" command in Photoshop) the scan of the first piece.

A couple of commenters on my facebook post thought there ought to be four ankhs.
At first, I wasn't so enthused, but as I played in Photoshop, two of my color tests pleased my eye:

These were achieved by a 90 degree slide of the hue shifter in Photoshop, and then an inversion.
Any variation of the 90 degree slide results in purple and green ankhs.
(A 180 degree slide results in the red and blue ankhs merely 'changing place', so 90 degrees is the halfway point.)
I began with the purple 'airy' ankh and discovered that the brightness of the digital version couldn't even be achieved in the physical photo:

The pink canvas I got is so pale, it doesn't even look pink.

I couldn't duplicate the neon effects of the digital green ankh, either....

June 9, 2024 - but it has a warmth I actually prefer...

We were here, starting upper right and going counterclockwise:
"Fire, Water, Air, Earth"
Julia suggested I do the fifth element, "Spirit", and make it white...
My mental gears got going, I couldn't resist.
Here is a progress photo:

July 12, 2024....

I didn't stop with making ankhs, I dreamt about making one in jewel tones, but that one is not part of the "Elemental series". And of course, I did five more!
