Progress Scan of Peaceful Ankh
6:29pm

This is the scan of the original Energetic Ankh, but with color inverted.

This was the scan of the energetic ankh taken at the same point the peaceful ankh now is:

Now I'm waiting for some threads to arrive before I advance this piece further.

Encyclopedia of Deities
12:17pm

I interrupt my art progress, (I've made good progress on the peaceful ankh, btw.), to share some photos of an amazing book. The Complete Encyclopedia of Egyptian Deities is Tamara L. Siuda PhD's magnum opus:

Peaceful Ankh Nearly Finished
6:30pm

It just needs the silver ankh and the hanger...

Then I was curious, what an inversion of this ankh would look like:

Original 'Energetic Ankh' is on the right...

Originals on the left, inversions on the right...

Ankh Project Expands
8:34am

A couple of commenters on my facebook post thought there ought to be four ankhs.
At first, I wasn't so enthused, but as I played in Photoshop, one result pleased my eye:

This was achieved by a 90 degree slide of the hue shifter in Photoshop, and then an inversion.
Any variation of the 90 degree slide results in purple and green ankhs.
(A 180 degree slide results in the red and blue ankhs merely 'changing place', so 90 degrees is the halfway point.)

I began with the purple 'airy' ankh:

The pink canvas I got is so pale, it doesn't even look pink.
It's hard to duplicate the photo image....

Two different purple ankh tests:

The left image is the image in the print above, it is so much brighter in the digital version.
The right image is the 90 degree color shift without the inversion.
Note, the right image was created from the energetic ankh, while the left image was created from the peaceful ankh.
My ankh seems to be between these two purples, darker and bluer than the first, but lighter and redder than the second.
