Smaller Cross Stitch Projects
6:03am

It's been a while since an update:

I've only done a bit more border for the Ma'at tapestry since this update photo from October...
It's because I got involved in other projects...

First, my aims turned toward small projects suitable for Christmas presents. Now that the recipients are in possession of their gifts, I can share the scans:

The two larger are from a Vervaco kit (using 14 count aida), the smaller is the pattern with 16 count aida.
The smaller is for Julia, I'm surprised it came out THAT much smaller.

Having only done my own designs, I found it a bit hard to follow the pattern. If you look closely, you'll see there are slight differences among them.

Being encouraged by the decent results, I found another pattern, this time Star Trek related. I found the source of a design shared on the web, Star Trek Cross-Stitch: Explore Strange New Worlds of Crafting, by John Lohman.

The pattern and the guiding photo.

I changed the pattern a tiny bit...

Originally, the design called for a frame, but I like to hang them banner-style, so I added a border...

I'm almost finished. I'd hoped to have Picard's face on our wall before the end of the year, but... soon!

Happy New Year to all who are reading!
