"Princess From the Land of Many Things"
9:53pm
![](contain-no.png)
Could she contain it all?
...not really!
This is fairly definitely influenced by my seeing Whistler's Princess in the Land of Porcelain. There I am next to Whistler's princess and here I am, all short legged and large breasted. And no I cannot contain it all. There will always be something new to embrace.

Where there is an open mind,
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A FRONTIER...

"Joan and Julia in the Many Mirrors"
7:59am
I've been very busy, going through those 800+ photos, trying to pick what best shows off each place visited and typing out those handwritten entries. Today, I'm taking a break. I'm still enjoying those photos, but am selecting some which have that unique quality of reflectiveness. I like the mirror effect for its abstract qualities. In these photos, Julia and I really appear enmeshed within our environment.

Julia and I seeing ourselves in the doors to the National Gallery of Art. Behind us, the streets...

An elegant water fountain also has that reflective quality...

Are we 'princesses in a land of porcelain'? The NGA certainly has a lot of it!

In this mirrored cabinet, we seem as ghosts from the future...
