Limestone stamp seal
New Kingdom, Ramesside, Dynasty 19–20, ca. 1295–1070 B.C.
Upper Egypt; Thebes, Medinet Habu
Limestone, H. 7cm x W. 4.5cm
Rogers Fund, 1913, MMA 13.182.5
I found this piece in the 'Study Room' for Late Dynasty 18 to Dynasty 20
This piece is small, but we can see recognizable hieroglyphs, 'neb' for 'lord', 'ka' for 'subtle body' (immortal essence), 'nefer' for 'beautiful' and is the top glyph representing a cobra?
