On This Bed Like An Altar

''Eh, do all Dark Elves have red eyes?'' Chloe questioned. ''No, but it's considered a beauty trait. I'm rather proud of them. You're not spooked, are you?'' Kaaldar inquired, still smiling.

Then Kaaldar nuzzled his nose into Chloe's neck, sniffing. ''She doesn't really smell like 'cinnamon', she has her own spicy smell.'' He inhaled deeply of that fragrance.

While kissing her neck, he played with the zipper on the back of her robe, sliding it downwards to reveal her pale back, which he also nuzzled, sniffed and kissed, in a series of kisses down to the base of her spine.

''Sacred ritual, this,'' Kaaldar thought, as they eased down into his bed. Chloe, partially disrobed, searched for the fasteners on Kaaldar's robe, and thought ''Those of the magical arts have it easy. I'd hate to have to deal with a warrior's armor.''

Finding the buttons, she gently undid them to reveal a sufficiently broad blue back. ''Not much on muscles, but I don't like ugly muscles anyway. Just nice . . ,'', as she stroked and kissed the warm flesh.

''This is cherished, this is sacred,'' Chloe thought, as she traced her fingers down Kaaldar's spine.

Robes were neatly set aside on a small stool near Kaaldar's bed. Other accouterments were carefully set on a dresser.

Naked, they each were, and facing each other, each a little nervous for this ritual, one a virgin, and one with experience he'd rather forget, a virgin for this, however.

Shy, Kaaldar found himself. Surprisingly so, he was puzzled by this. Still, to this, Chloe found some bravery and took Kaaldar's hand and led him to the bed.

Together, they came, on this bed like an altar. How alive they both felt, reborn in something called love. It burned through Kaaldar with a purifying fire. It melted Chloe and fluid she felt.

The rhythmic movements of the acts became a dance to music heard in their hearts. A coming together of their souls, it was.

As heat drew its conclusion, and they lay, side by side, satisfied to a peace each had not known possible, they knew they wanted to never part.
