Portrait of a Clown

At this time, both Laura and I were exploring using black paper with the colored pencils. I think her efforts came out better than my cardinal:

"Traditionally gender diverse people, throughout history, have often been among the finest jesters and clowns. In the role of a clown we can make people laugh at themselves, see the world through different colored glasses. Also, theater was always a place where we could switch gender roles not only without comment, but with accolades and praise when we did it well."
