"A Little 'Monkey Business'"
8:23am

I checked the horoscope this morning and was advised to "Enjoy some monkey business." So I did. I remembered the Egyptian god Thoth is often portrayed as an ape. Okay, apes are not monkeys. But they are both Simians. Close enough.

After wasting time in a general Google search for 'ape' and 'Thoth', I remembered my Egyptian resources, and found one quickly after that:

It's been ages since I've done any drawing at all, so I had a go at him:

Micron pen on printer paper, maybe he'll get colored???

I, too, am a simian, and the monkey in me wants to go exploring in the new park later today. 'Wild' wetlands for me!

"Exploring East Wetlands Park"
8:23am

At Gateway park looking towards the Eastern Wetlands...

"The Welcome Neighbors and Newcomers Club Cottonwood Grove"

The Cottonwood Grove...
(
My choice for the Photo Friday theme of 'Slowly')

A path from the grove area leads up to Arizona Territorial Prison

Returning, the Ocean to Ocean bridge is visible...

The trees will grow tall...

We walked some ways along the Gateway Park trail, and here's Julia with two more mature trees there.
