"More Critters!"
5:06am

The entrance to the 'Africa' section of the Animal Kingdom is designed to look like a village there:

Sleepy critters with long luxurious tails...

A lot of the animals were sleeping. I don't blame them, as no doubt the heat and humidity encourages it. As far as I could tell, they all were provided with shady areas for best comfort. We humans were thusly provided, and often it was in the forms of buildings with all sorts of exhibits. This one featured animal head skeltons:

I didn't see any giraffes, but I did see a skellie...

Either a crocodile or an alligator? In any case, that's some sharp teeth!

A hippopotamus' skellie!

Too bad I didn't take notes on who any of these critters are...

Gorillas, one sleeping, the other eating...

This parrot was near the transitional area, 'Discovery Island' I think they called it...

After exiting the continental themed areas, we were back in colorful 'Disney world'

Charming giraffe details...

That charming place with the umbrellas and chairs might have been an eatery. We didn't explore further. But we did eat at the Rainforest Cafe which is at the very entrance of the Animal Kingdom. We had delicious portobello mushroom burgers. Just thinking about them makes me crave one now. Curiously enough, it wasn't the first time we ate at a Rainforest Cafe, as there's one in the Arizona Mills mall at Ahwahtukee. This one was a little bigger, and featured huge columns that were gigantic fish aquariums:

I had fun trying to capture the speedy fish. I noted, "There's Nemo! There's Dory!", just like the little kids did. Oh, our visit there is filled with wonderful memories.
