Black Topped Pots

At Balboa Park Museum of Man
"Long before the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt and the establishment of the first ruling dynasty (ca 320 BCE), people living along the Nile began to bury simple grave goods with their dead. Red and black burnished pottery is typical of Early Pre-Dynastic graves from Upper Egypt and Nubia (3600-3400 BCE)." (From info card)
