The process!
February, 2023 I decided to get some inspiration from Nefertari's exquisite tomb paintings
For size reference, photo is 4x6 inches.
Right away I decided her feather had been sketched way too small....
She gets wings!

(Top two feathers 1/4 826/304 blend, 3/4 825/815 blend (DMC colors)
The middle feathers are a 50/50 blend of the lighter and darker blend, while the lower feathers are 3/4 lighter mixtures, and the feathers closest to Ma'at are all the lighter 826/304 blend.
All five photos I took were blurry, this is the least blurry of the lot.
By February, 2024, I'd gotten this far...
And then I took a long pause while I worked on my ankh series...
March, 2025, I was almost finished...
More Nearly Finished!

By April 23rd, I was on the last step, making the hanger casing.
April 26, 2025, Julia is holding the finished tapestry.....
