Ptah Under the Midnight Sky

I wanted the repeating four color blocks of the border to echo the four letters in the English spelling of his name. As the deity that invented writing, I wanted him to have his name in hieroglyphs, and also his title "Lord of Ma'at" (Neb Ma'at) at the bottom. The darker blocks necessary for the letters to show up necessitated a transition from the brighter blocks at the top. So I gradually went from bright yellow to deep green.

The collar has went through a few evolutions in design.

That lavender between the pale yellow and blue was all wrong....

Intermediate stage. I still wasn't happy because the orange was too dark next to the yellow.

The grayscale shows this....

So I changed out the second collar row again, the top half is now a lighter orange,
But I kept the bottom half the darker orange, as the lighter orange would be too light next to the blue....

My name on the back, not just initials this time....

Ma'at pendants are same design as those I had made via Shapeways for Ma'at's tapestry, but smaller.
