This design is loosely based on a colored pencil mandala I did in 2011:

For the tapestry, I rotated this mandala 45 degrees

Beginning limning the design. Being quadrasymmetrical simplified this process a bit.

Close up of the border, the idea was to make it visually fit within a square format, hence the pink and blue diagonal stripes.

I'm temporarily borrowing the location of another tapestry, because the light is best there...

I went with the short title "Flower Window", rather than 'Stained Glass Window Mandala', as a short title fits better.
(I did my best to iron out the wrinkles, but they didn't budge much.)

I had FedEx scan it on their 11x17 scanner. They took two scans, so I could combine them in Photoshop.
